Launch Live Channel and follow the registration process.
Registration
Registration is now done from within Live Channel.
Until the application is registered, it can be used in demo mode, which does not allow broadcasting.
Live Presenter
Live Channel now offers synchronization of rich media web presentations with the live broadcast.
Note: For more information on creating presentations, read the file "Creating Presentations".
Auto Play
The new Auto Play/Pause option, available in the clip information window, can be used to automatically play clips when they are switched into the broadcast, and pause them when they are switched out.
Count Down
The new Count Down option, available in the clip information window, can be used to change the time display in the clip window to count down the time remaining to the end of the clip.
Looping Text
The new Loop option, in the text information window, can be used to make the text scroll in an endless loop.
Mac OS 9.2
Live Channel now runs on Mac OS version 9.2.

Stability
Live Channel is now more stable, and is not inclined to halt the system.
Note: To prevent conflicts while broadcasting with Live Channel, avoid running any other applications, especially ones which use network services. Turn off File & Web Sharing, mail scheduling, Sherlock volume indexing and automatic software updating. In the Energy Saver control panel, set the system to never enter sleep mode.

Dragging

ATI Video Drivers
Live Channel now works well with all ATI video driver extensions.
If your were forced to turn some ATI extensions off to use previous versions of Live Channel, you may now turn them back on.
Control Strip
Live Channel now works well with the control strip on.
Window Updating
Live Channel now updates its windows properly when running in the background or when partly covered by other windows.
Video windows are not refreshed while menus are open. (Altough the broadcast may continue.)
Video/Sound Broadcasting
Live Channel can now be used to broadcast video only, sound only or both video and sound.
Broadcast Settings
Broadcast settings, including video and sound compression settings, are now conveniently located in a dialog window.
Broadcast Menu
Live Channel now has a broadcast menu, with commands for starting/stopping the broadcast, opening the broadcast settings window and announcing the broadcast.
Announcing Broadcast
Live Channel now enables announcing the broadcast, by saving a QuickTime Reference Movie, an RTSP file (for broadcasting in streaming server mode) or an SDP file (for broadcasting in unicast or multicast modes).

Live Channel now runs on Mac OS version 9.1.
Frame Size
Live Channel is now capable of producing frame resolution up to 320 by 240 on all platforms, including PowerBook G3 and iMac DV.
Compression Settings
Video and audio compression settings are now saved between sessions.
Audio Compression
Live Channel is now compressing the audio correctly, according to the compression format chosen by the user.
Older Machines
Live Channel now runs on older G3 machines, that didn't come with built-in FireWire.

Live Channel now supports most non standard (not made by Apple) displays.

Compatibility Issues
Display Cards
Live Channel currently supports only ATI Rage display cards.
ATI Radeon and nVidia display cards are currently not supported.
Mac OS X
Currently Live Channel is not compatible with Mac OS X.
These compatibility issues will be solved in future versions of Live Channel.
